巴西部分地区离解除古典猪瘟状态又近了一步

　　BRAZIL - Brazil has submitted a request to the World Organisation for Animal Health (OIE) to expand Classical Swine Feverfree status to fourteen more states, as well as the Federal District around Brasilia.Currently, only two states have a certificate of freedom from classical swine fever: Rio Grande do Sul and Santa Catarina. The status was won in May last year, during the 83rd OIE General Session in Paris.The disease, caused by a virus, is highly contagious and is notifiable to the OIE. It causes high fever, red spots in the body, paralysis in the hind legs, breathing difficulties and can lead to death of the animal.The latest cases were reported in Brazil in August 2009, in Amapá, Pará and Rio Grande do Norte.

　　巴西已经向世界动物卫生组织(OIE)提交了一份请求，请求扩大解除古典猪瘟状态的地区，要比十四个州更多，包括巴西利亚周围的联邦区(Brasilia)。目前，惟独两个州拥有从古典猪瘟状态解除的证书，分辞是南里奥格兰德(Rio Grande do Sul)和圣卡塔琳娜州(Rio Grande do Sul)，这是去年五月在巴黎召开的第八十三届世界动物卫生组织(OIE)全体大会上得到的批准。古典猪瘟由病毒引起，具有高致病性，必须向世界动物卫生组织报告。它会引发高烧，身上泛有红斑，后腿瘫痪和呼吸艰难，严重时引起动物死亡。最新的病例报道在2009年8月,巴西的阿马帕(Amapá),帕拉州(Pará)和北里奥格兰德(Rio Grande do Norte)。
